How Our Custom Process Works

Step 1: Review

Once you fill out the form below, I will review the details and reach out to you to learn more about the custom woodworking project you want to start. This should take 1-2 days.

Step 2: Consulting the Project

During this period, we will go over the project and come to an agreement on the outcomes based on your vision. This process may vary in time depending on the size of the project and the preferred turnaround dates. We will send digital design options and require a 50% deposit before proceeding with the work. Typical lead time is between 1-3 months depending on the complexity of the project.

Step 3: Delivery of Project

Lastly, once the project is complete, I will either drop the piece off, securely ship the piece, or you can come to pick up your custom-made product.

  • This will vary based on the size of the project. We will factor delivery or shipping into the overall price of the project when sending over your estimate. This will also be discussed during the consultation phase of the build.

  • Absolutely! You can find previous work we have done for commercial businesses linked here. The process starts the same as any other custom piece by filling out the commission request form.

  • Dusted Woodworking works with various hardwood materials in custom furniture pieces. Maple, Walnut, & Oak are common wood species that you may find in our custom furniture. We also specialize in using recycled skateboard decks as a medium in our custom projects. The colorful layers of the skateboard decks act as an accent piece to our projects or are used as the primary wood in the overall construction.

  • We are able to handle a broad range of project sizes and are happy to discuss what you have in mind. If it is something that we are unable to handle we can certainly point you in the right direction to another local woodworking shop.
